There are three CI programs that provide food and shelter to local residents in need. Community Lunch, with 60 volunteers this year, served lunch to 1400 people at a local church. Forty eight (48) volunteer members of Project for the Homeless supervised 2 homeless shelters that provided sleeping accommodations to 45 residents. Sixty Habitat for Humanity volunteers partnered with local groups to restore houses damaged in Hurricane Sandy, repaired Community Centers and clean-up local parks.
